The war on terror and the current zeitgeist around the rise of radicalization all began with the tragic attacks on the twin towers of the world trade center in New York on 9/11//2001, a date that will live in infamy. Without this attack, the way we travel and how countries conduct themselves would greatly differ and the escalating conflicts in the Middle East would not be how they are now. This shot was taken the day before the attacks as the towers stood tall amongst a storm of rain and winds bombarding them with thunder rolling around them in a metaphoric representation of the darkness that was about to enshroud America and the world.
